This project was for my Digital Media class and we were to make a gig poster for a band or musical artist of our choosing. I chose the composers Two Steps From Hell. They compose orchestral film music that you'd hear in movies, video games, and trailers for movies and video games.
This was my initial idea that I had for the poster. One of the composers last names is Phoenix so I wanted to play on that and I felt as though that they could have an album that is called "Phoenix", as they have one that's called "Dragon", so why not have a "Phoenix" as well?
Here's the final piece! I wanted to create the phoenix with cool colours rather than warm tones just to change it up a bit. I debated making the font more detailed and elaborate but I felt as though it would clash with the feathering of the phoenix, so I decided to keep it simple.
